CASE STUDIES

OverviewWe helped White Spot’s fast casual brand Triple O’s cook up a storm on social media, and introduced dozens of delicious and adventurous burgers and sides to the receptive public. Triple O’s offers the same delicious core menu as their parent restaurants, but offers new and exciting burgers on a seasonal basis. Poutine, peanut butter and jalepeño, spicy chipotle, Californian ingredients and even cajun seasoning and blue cheese all mixed together to take Triple O’s into the next generation of flavour, and gave them a completely different identity than White Spot.I took on the role of associate creative director with this client, writing scripts, creating storyboards and working with external suppliers to help put together dozens of TV commercials and digital ads. I redesigned the Triple O's website, created a much stronger social media presence, and I even created new digital menu boards to help take this retro-style burger joint into the 21st century.
Website DesignWe started by redesigning their website and making it more social media friendly. We made links to their Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube accounts integrated with the site. Then the ads we produced for the site could seamlessly be adapted to their social media as well as high traffic areas on their own website. This helped make the rollout for a new product fast and easy. Our work with Triple O's grew their social media presence dramatically; for example, they had 1500 followers on Facebook when we started working with them, and now they have 23,000.
TV CommercialsI created about a dozen quick yet creative TV commercials for Triple O's during our time together. Every quarter or so, the Triple O's team would come up with a new feature burger: the Giant Cheeseburger, Buffalo Chicken, the Poutine Burger, even peanut butter, bacon and jalapeño (the PBBBJ). To keep production costs down, we used still photography of the burgers and other side dishes to make the ads. Each new menu item was already photographed for a variety of purposes, and filming them for our ads would have added thousands in costs. We surrounded the product photo with animated 3-D backgrounds to really bring the spots to life.White Spot's secret burger sauce may not have changed since the start of their "car-hop" drive through service, but we think Nat Bailey himself would be proud of the consistent, creative marketing effort we helped Triple O's implement.
